In short
Our home page and legal pages do not collect personal data. Our Therapy First Step pages (/therapy-first-step and /notify-me) do, to understand interest in the service and to contact people who ask us to. This policy explains what we collect there and why.
Information collected automatically on Therapy First Step pages
When you visit these pages, we create a random visitor ID and store it in your browser (in its local storage, or as a cookie if local storage is blocked), so repeat visits from the same browser can be recognised. Linked to that ID, we record:
- Device details: device type, operating system, browser, whether the page was opened inside an app such as Instagram or Facebook, the device model where your browser shares it, screen size, browser language and time zone.
- Approximate location: country, state, city and mobile network or internet provider, worked out from your IP address. We do not store the IP address itself, and city-level location is often inaccurate.
- How you arrived: the advertising campaign or link that brought you (UTM parameters), including where the ad was shown, such as Instagram Reels, whether you came from a Meta ad, and the referring website.
- How you use the Therapy First Step page: how far you scroll, which sections you reach, which buttons and links you tap (such as the preference options, the Pay button, the refund policy link or the helpline number), how long the page is open and on screen, the last thing you did before leaving, whether the page was reloaded, and how long it took to load. We use this to see where the page is unclear, not to identify you.
- Your progress: the dates and times you visited, chose your preferences, and saved your spot.
Information you give us
The preferences you choose: what's on your mind, your preferred language and your therapist gender preference. We record each choice as soon as you make it, even if you do not go on to tap Pay. These can relate to your mental health, so please only share what you are comfortable with.
If you save your spot: the name you'd like us to use (which can be anonymous), your mobile number and, optionally, your email address.
How we use it
We use this information to contact you when Therapy First Step is ready, to understand how many people are interested and how they found us, and to improve the service and our advertising. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to provide medical or psychiatric care.
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
Therapy First Step pages use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies and tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when you view a page, move on from the preferences step, or save your spot, so we can measure our ads. We do not send Meta your preferences, name, mobile number or email address. Meta's use of this information is covered by Meta's own privacy policy.
Where it is stored
Information is stored in Google Sheets on our Google account, with access limited to our team. Our website runs on Cloudflare, which may keep short-term technical logs. If saving your details fails, those logs may briefly contain them so we don't lose your request.
How long we keep it
We keep this information only as long as needed for the purposes above, and no longer than 12 months after your last visit or contact with us, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, by emailing zs4.welltech@gmail.com. You can remove the visitor ID at any time by clearing this website's data in your browser, and you can limit ad tracking in your Facebook and Instagram settings or in your browser's privacy settings.
Emails to us
Anything you send us directly, for example by email, is used only to respond to you and is not shared with third parties.
